About us

We wanted to stop
scrolling ourselves empty.

So we flipped the feed. Same gesture, same five minutes, but at the end you are smarter instead of tired.
The idea came from a simple annoyance: an hour on the phone in the evening, and afterwards you cannot even say what you saw. The gesture has long become a habit, the result is mostly empty.
Our take: the swiping is not the problem, it is what comes out of it. So keep the familiar thumb, but instead of the next forgettable clip, a fact that stays. Something you tell at the table tomorrow and shine with for a moment.
That became Factucate: a deliberately finite daily stack instead of an endless pull, real explanations instead of headlines, and a memory system that makes the knowledge actually stick.
What we stand for

Three principles, no compromises

Accuracy first

Every fact has a real source, from public agencies, museums or universities, and is checked by hand before it goes live. Sounding good is not enough, it has to be true. When in doubt, the fact gets cut.

Inform, don't hook

No endless feed, no dark patterns, no guilt. The streak is decoration and never locks away content. You should put the app down satisfied, not get stuck in it.

Knowledge that stays

Feeling smart is easy, staying smart is the craft. That is why we build on proven memory research: active recall and growing intervals, so facts do not evaporate.
"Time on your phone will always exist. The only question is whether it leaves you emptier or smarter."

A small, independent team that would rather build an honest product than an addictive one. Questions, ideas, or a fact we absolutely need to include? We would love to hear it.

Scroll yourself smart.

Be there when it launches.
